Effective April 1st, 2009 foreclosed property title holders will be required to disclose building or zoning code violations prior to offering the property for sale or transfer. 

 Effective immediately we will no longer accept faxed applications for commercial Certificates of Use from the general public. We will continue to accept applications from out of State applicants upon request. Out of State applicants or applicants with special needs may contact the Zoning Permit Section to request assistance with faxed applications at 786-315-2666
A NON-REFUNDABLE UP FRONT FEE of $108.00 is now required with the submittal of an application for Certificate of Use.

The U.S. Census Bureau began the release of a new data series as part of the American Community Survey program. The new survey, which was completed in 2007, is of communities with at least 20,000 residents and gives the first in-depth look at the smaller communities since the 2000 Census. This issue of At A Glance takes a look at this data and makes comparisons with the 2000 Census data.

 Impact fees increasing April 22nd for New or Revised Plats dated January 1, 2009 or later.
Notice: Effective April 22, 2009, Road Impact Fees are being revised for New or Revised Plats dated January 1, 2009 or later. The new fee schedule can be viewed by clicking here.
Road impact fees for existing plats will still be charged at the October 1, 2008 road impact fee rates until January 1, 2011. That rate schedule can be viewed by clicking here.

 The Department of Planning & Zoning has launched a new series of reports. They will cover a number of topics relevant to the Miami-Dade economy.  Unlike the At a Glance series, these reports will be more technical in nature.  The newest report details the changing industry and wage structure of Miami-Dade County.
