Upon completion of an inspection in which a zoning violation has been determined, the section will issue a Warning Notice and or Stop Work Order. A location which is found to be occupied prior to obtaining a Certificate of Use will be issued a processing penalty equal to double the normal zoning fee plus an additional $ 180.12. These fees cannot be waived. The location must comply within the required thirty (30) day period specified in the notice.
Failure to comply will result in the following:
a) Referral to an appropriate department for issuance of a civil notice of violation (ticket)
b) Request for interruption of electrical service
c) Referral to County Attorney’s Office for legal action
d) Issuance of a zoning stop work order to prevent further building activity at that location
e) Placement of a zoning hold to prevent any additional C.O.s or Certificates of Completion (C.C.) from being issued.
