Miami-Dade Police Detectives Make Arrests and Recover Stolen Property

Miami-Dade Police Department, Airport District detectives recovered numerous pieces of luggage and property that were reported stolen during the months of June 2014 through July 2014. According to investigators, subjects Alis Jimenez and Juan Fidalgo were observed on different dates and times removing luggage from Miami International Airport baggage claim carousels. Through investigative means detectives were able to locate both subjects, and they were taken into custody and the property recovered. The subjects also confessed to stealing luggage from Palm Beach International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. Although many of the items have been returned to their rightful owners, detectives are encouraging luggage theft victims from any of the three listed airports, to come forward with their respective case report numbers and possibly identify some of the items on display as their own.
