The Miami-Dade Police Department is pleased to partner with the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Project by participating in the 5000 Role Models Police and Youth Conference.  The conference is designed to promote positive interactions between the youth of our community and law enforcement.  In an effort to engage role model students with members of the law enforcement community, the conference will facilitate candid conversations and powerful presentations. The Miami-Dade Police Department will be participating with other members of the state and local law enforcement community.  Some of the topics to be explored are consequences of being arrested, gun safety, texting while driving, dropout prevention, and violence within our community.
