9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

We Will Never Forget

On September 11, 2001, many lives were lost to terrorist attacks upon the World Trade Center, the United States Pentagon, and the crashing of United Airlines Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.  Our nation mourned for the innocent lives that were lost and those heroes that gave theirs' saving others.  This year marks the 20th anniversary of this tragic event.  It is important to that we remain united as a community,  as a county, and a nation to send a strong message that, “We Will Never Forget.”

The Miami-Dade Police and Fire Rescue Departments, along with the U.S. Southern Command will host a remembrance ceremony for all those law enforcement officers and firefighters that gave their all.  Two-time Grammy Award winner Jon Secada will be present to sing the National Anthem.

We ask everyone to join us in this solemn ceremony to show that Miami-Dade County, “Will Never Forget.”

Media is welcome to attend.
