The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is scheduled for an on-site assessment for the purpose of obtaining re-accreditation. The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) administers the accreditation process, requiring agencies to comply with the best and most current police policies, procedures and practices. As part of the on-site assessment, members of the community and agency employees are invited to offer comments by calling 305-627-7107 on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, between the hours of 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm or join in on a virtual Public Information Session at 4:00 pm, where comments will be taken by the Assessment Team. Telephone comments are limited to 10 minutes and must address the agency’s ability to comply with CALEA’s standards. For those wishing to join the virtual conference, click on the link below.
