Computers for Guns

Safer Homes, Safer Communities

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) in conjunction with the City of Miami Police Department (MPD) will be hosting, "Computers for Guns".  MDPD has purchased laptops with Law Enforcement Trust Funds to bring the "Computers for Guns" exchange program to Miami-Dade County.

This community event is focused on reducing gun violence, while providing positive life alternatives through career opportunities and technology training provided by Career Source South Florida.  Members of our community are encouraged to anonymously exchange their firearms for a new laptop computer. Law enforcement remains fully committed to making our homes and communities safer.

The MDPD and the MPD will be issuing one laptop for each person that turns in a firearm, while supplies last.
