Liberty City Community-Wide Crime Prevention Event |

The increase in violent crimes in the Liberty City community, has prompted the Urban League of Greater Miami to present a community-wide crime prevention event in collaboration with the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) Northside District Station. MDPD will host a crime prevention workshop and discuss recent crime patterns in the community. Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department will also be onsite providing fingerprinting for youth. This event is an opportunity for residents to take a stand against crime, reduce their own risks of becoming victims, and empower them in making their neighborhoods safer by collaborating with law enforcement. In addition to crime prevention, health awareness will also be a key focus at the event, and will include health awareness activities and a presentation by the Miami-Dade Health Department. Various community agencies and social programs will be present to provide valuable information on resources and activities available to the community.
