The Miami-Dade Police Department Launches The In-telligent Communication Application

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) and In-telligent are working together to bridge the communication gap between private and charter schools during a time of crisis.

The Real-Time Crime Center (RTCC) is a MDPD resource that provides 'real-time' investigative support, using the most effective technology and practices not previously available to officers and investigators on a twenty-four hour basis, seven days a week.

In-telligent is a free application. Using patented technology, it has the ability to override a cellular telephone's silent mode when delivering an urgent message to a user group when seconds matter.

MDPD's RTCC and In-telligent will now be able to alert registered school officials of incidents that require immediate attention within their district.

MDPD Command Staff will be available for interviews.
