Miami-Dade Police Officers Training Exercise

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) will host a full-scale active shooter scenario training exercise. This training exercise is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure the safety of our community. The goal is to assess the response and effectiveness of MDPD officers when encountering an active shooter incident involving attacks on multiple victims. The team of first responders plan to handle the exercise like a real workplace violence incident. This exercise is comprised of several scenarios to include a possible terrorist attack with over 100 MDPD police trainees as role players.
