Military Service Award Ceremony

Miami-Dade Police Department Recognizing Military Service

 

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD) is hosting its Military Service Award Ceremony where we will recognize all our personnel who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. MDPD implemented the Military Recognition Program in 2011, which recognized only sworn personnel; however, this will be the first time the Department recognizes all employees. We are also proud to announce that Officer Framis Ramos from South District has just completed 20 years of service in the Air Force at Homestead Air Reserve Base and just returned from a deployment. The day of the ceremony is his first day back on duty. He joined the Air Force on 6 May 1994 until January 2000. He left the Air Force and received his Bachelor’s Degree at FIU in Hospitality Management. Since 2002, he is assigned to the 93rd Fighter Squadron, as part of the AF Reserve program, as a Aircrew Flight Equipment Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge.  Has completed 3 tours in Iraq, 1 tour in Korea, and now recently, Afghanistan.
