North District's Home Beautification Project

On Saturday, September 24, 2016, the Miami-Dade Police Department’s Northside District will undertake its third Home Beautification Project.

Under the leadership of Major Ricky Carter, Northside District has partnered with local businesses to assist members of the community. Officers of the Northside District Community Oriented Policing Services Unit (COPSU) will partake in painting, landscaping, and conduct general home repairs to the home where 70-year old retiree, Mrs. Rosaline Jones, has resided for several years.

Because of her love for children, Ms. Jones has offered a place of refuge to over 40 foster children since 1995. In 2013, Mrs. Jones adopted three beautiful little girls, Amari 16, Alexus 15, and Shamaya 10. In an effort to unify the family, Ms. Rosaline gave the girls the “Jones” name.

Northside Major, Ricky Carter, who has spearheaded the Home Beautification Project, echoes the belief that, “No one is useless in this world who lightens the burdens of another.”
