Operation Dragon Slayer II

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Narcotics Bureau in collaboration with the Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration conducted Operation Dragon Slayer II.  This operation focused on combating the use and sale of heroin in Miami-Dade County.

As part of the ongoing effort to combat the increased number of heroin overdose cases, local, state, and federal partners have initiated investigations to identify the individuals responsible for the sale of heroin.  Investigators also responded to overdose related scenes in attempts to provide the patients with the available resources and gather pertinent information surrounding each incident.  As the summer commences, the emphasis is to keep our residents safe, but most importantly keeping our children safe during their recess.  Throughout the investigation, investigators have identified individuals that were in possession and trafficking heroin.

In November 2016, Operation Dragon Slayer I, yielded 16 arrests.

Operation Dragon Slayer II yielded the following drugs, guns and arrests:

Enoch Parks / James Williams / Alexander Gilbert / Anthony Grant / Anthony Mercer / Omandis Perez

Carlos Rodriguez / Cedrick Bean / Tevin Spencer / Edward Fletcher / Lloyd Campbell / Prescott Farnell

(33) grams of heroin / (3) firearms (of which two were reported stolen) / (1) AR-15 with ammunition
