PureFormulas.com CEO, Jose Prendes, came about the idea of donating supplies to the Miami-Dade Police Department's Canine Unit after being impressed by their abilities and responsiveness last year.  When an alarm went off in the company's warehouse, a canine unit arrived, conducted a building search, and was able to determine that it was a false alarm.  With no intruder present, the area was declared secure.  Prendes, having heard of budget cut-backs at the force, wanted to do what he could to help the unit, and decided to provide a gift of useful supplies from the company's line of animal products.  Some of the  items designated for the dogs include a year's supply of dog vitamins and health supplements; flea and tick products; and grooming supplies.
