On December 12, 2018, Sergeant Jermaine Brown was involved in an ATV accident, which took his life, on the Black Creek Trail just west of the busway. This Saturday, December 12, 2020, is the two-year anniversary of his passing. There will be a short memorial held for him near the location of the accident. We are requesting that if you are available, whether on-duty or off-duty, that you please attend in remembrance of Sergeant Brown and to show support for his family. For those who can attend, please meet south of SW 211 Street on the Busway, at the bridge to the Black Creek Trail, at 2:00 PM. Flowers will be passed out, a prayer will be said for Sergeant Brown and the South dispatcher will make a final radio call. CDC Guidelines, regarding social distancing and the usage of masks shall be adhered to.
