On Tuesday, August 27, 2019, at approximately 8:13 p.m., the victim, Mr. Alex Vega, was arriving at his residence when an unknown subject ran up to his vehicle. The subject, without warning, shot Mr. Vega multiple times from behind, before fleeing on foot. Despite being struck by gunfire, Mr. Vega survived from his injuries. Mr. Vega's family, alongside Miami-Dade Police Department Kendall District detectives, will be pleading for the assistance of the community to aid with this investigation.
