Entities Under Direct Supervision of the Special Investigations Division
The Special Investigations Division (SID) is one of two major organizational investigative Divisions that comprise the Investigative Services element of the Miami-Dade Police Department. The Division Chief, Juan Santana, is responsible for command and control of all functions within the Division. The Division is comprised of the Court Services, Economic Crimes, Narcotics and Warrants Bureaus. These entities are responsible for conducting criminal investigations of major organized high-impact economic crimes; illicit narcotics importation, sale and distribution; warrant issuance and pick-up, monitoring career criminal and extremist/subversive activities; criminal street gangs and prostitution/vice/gambling activities in Miami-Dade County.Back to Top Page Last Edited: Thu Feb 13, 2014 10:38:01 AM
