The Miami-Dade Police Department works to promote a safe and secure environment, free from crime and the fear of crime. As such, crime prevention education is an important part of our work with the community. By educating the public on crime prevention techniques and by encouraging community members to get involved in crime prevention activities such as neighborhood watch; we can help reduce crime in Miami-Dade County and improve the quality of life for its residents. As part of this effort, we are proud to partner with Citizens' Crime Watch of Miami-Dade County, a nonprofit county-wide crime prevention program funded by the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners, grants and donations.
