Citizen Advisory Committee

Each unincorporated Miami-Dade Police District has a CAC made up of about fifteen lay people. They meet monthly with the command staff of the District at the station.The meeting is open to the public. Any problem requiring special attention can be presented; police matters are assigned to an officer; non-police issues are handled by the Team Metro representative.  Read more...

Citizen Crime Watch

Established more than 344 new Neighborhood Watch groups countywide in the Miami-Dade Police districts, including municipalities such as City of Miami-Upper Eastside, Cutler Bay, Palmetto Bay, Doral, Pinecrest, Biscayne Park, North Miami, El Portal and Town of Miami Lakes, as well as revitalizing 215 old groups. These new groups and revitalized groups brought a total of 65,000 residents, and distribution more than 89,000 pieces of crime prevention literature, all of this with just 3 crime prevention coordinators for the entire county.   Read more...

Gun Bounty Program

Since its inception in 2007, The Gun Bounty program makes it possible for residents to get a $1,000 reward for turning someone in with an illegal gun. The goal is to get weapons and criminals off the streets by reaching out to individuals who know someone with an illegal firearm. Remember for every gun taken off the streets, you save lives!
