Female Abducted from a Local Fast Food Restaurant


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Hammocks District, General Investigations Unit are searching for a female that was taken against her will from a local restaurant.

According to investigators, a female in distress pleaded with restaurant employees to help her as the subject argued with her over the counter. Holding the women's purse in his hand, the subject grabbed the victim's arm and forcefully pulled her out of the restaurant. Restaurant employees called for police assistance as the victim braced herself on the door frame, unsuccessfully trying to escape abduction. Witnesses described the subject fleeing in a black sedan with the victim inside.

Surveillance video captured the images of the incident. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating both individuals. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP sitec

UPDATE #1:  Investigators received a Crimestoppers tip advising the identity and whereabouts of the woman shown in the video.  They met with her at her residence where she explained that she was intoxicated and having a verbal dispute with her boyfriend during the incident.  She then ran into the fast food establishment where her boyfriend was attempting to bring her back to the vehicle.  Investigators also made contact with her boyfriend who corroborated her account of the incident.  This incident has been reclassified as a battery.  However, the victim has indicated that she does not want to pursue charges at this time.
