(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department, Robbery Bureau is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a jewelry store located inside the 163 Street Mall.
According to investigators, four black male subjects, three of which had their faces covered, entered the jewelry store. One of the subjects, armed with a hammer, began to smash the glass counter while the other subjects jumped the counter and removed jewelry from the shelves. The victim attempted to stop the subjects and was pushed out of the way. The store owner (Sung Chan Kim), who was in the back of the store, heard the glass breaking, armed himself with his gun, and came to the front of the store. Mr. Kim pointed the gun at the subjects, at which time, the subjects fled the store with approximately $10,000 worth of jewelry.
The subjects' images were captured on video surveillance and are available on the Media Relations Section FTP Site under case number PD181215454258. Investigators are requesting the community's assistance in identifying and/or locating the subject.
