Arson


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, is investigating an arson that occurred at the above location.  According to detectives the victim, Yannis Tapanes, was staying at her sister’s house when she was awakened by a car alarm at approximately 1:10 a.m.  When she looked out the window she noticed her vehicle fully engulfed in flames. Family members were able to extinguish the fire and no injuries were reported.  

During the investigation detectives obtained surveillance video that showed two subjects exiting a vehicle and throwing an unknown incendiary device at the victim’s vehicle. Both subjects fled in an unknown direction. As a result, the victims vehicle was a complete lost.

Surveillance video captured the image of the subjects and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individuals. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
