Women Shot During Armed Robbery


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that resulted in the victim being shot multiple times.  Investigators say Isalia Hernandez was approached by a armed male as she exited her vehicle in front of her residence.  The unknown suspect demanded Hernandez to give him her purse.  An altercation ensued and Hernandez was shot several times.  She was airlifted to Kendall Regional Trauma Center where she is listed in critical condition.  The City of Homestead Police Department arrested two suspect nearby who had committed a home invasion moments earlier.  MDPD investigators are working closely with Homestead Police Department to confirm if these individuals are involved in the shooting of Ms. Hernandez.
