The Miami-Dade Police Department’s (MDPD), South District is investigating a shooting that resulted in an 11 year old being shot. According to investigators, at approximately 10:10 p.m., Jamarie London walked out of the house to speak to his brother when a dark colored SUV drove by and began shooting striking the 11 year old in the upper torso. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported the juvenile to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in stable condition. The motive is unknown at this time. The investigation continues. MDPD is dedicated to the prevention of violence affecting our community's youth. MDPD has added an additional $5,000.00 through "Stop Gun Violence Reward Fund" If the tip leads to the arrest of the subject(s), the tipster may be eligible for a reward.
