Credit Card Fraud

Need To Identify

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Economic Crimes Bureau, is investigating a credit card fraud that stems from a credit card theft that occurred at a residence located in Northwest Miami-Dade.

The investigation began on Friday, July 19, 2019, when the victim's video doorbell security system captured the images of an unknown male walk up to the victim’s front door, steal the mail, and flee in a sedan. The investigation revealed that the stolen mail contained a duplicate credit card that the victim never requested from the credit card company. The stolen credit card was later used to make fraudulent charges at a retail store in the amount of $2,471.70.

The video doorbell system captured the image of a subject. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating this individual. Video surveillance is available on the Media Relations Section FTP Site under case number PD190722262413.
