The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating the death of a male in Hobie Beach. According to investigators, a 911 call was received shortly after 6:40 p.m., advising that a male appeared to have fallen off a paddleboard and was in distress. A witness paddle boarded out to assist the victim; however, he was unable to locate him. Multiple agencies responded by land and water, and a search was conducted. Several hours into the search the victim was found in the water by Miami-Dade Police Department Divers. The victim was determined deceased on scene. The investigation continues.
