The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating the death of two Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation Department inmates. According to investigators, The City of Miami Fire Rescue Department received three separate medical calls from the Pre-Trial Detention Center regarding inmates in need of medical assistance. The inmates were transported to nearby hospitals, where two of them were later pronounced deceased. The cause of death is pending the Medical Examiner’s report.
