Death Investigation |

The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Homicide Bureau is conducting a death investigation. According to investigators, a Florida International University (FIU) police officer was alerted by a passerby of a body floating in a lake at the campus, located at 3000 NE 151 Street. The officer pulled the body of a deceased male out of the water and contacted MDPD for assistance. MDPD Homicide Bureau investigators were able to determine that the deceased male is not affiliated with, nor a student of FIU. The investigation continues.
