The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Homicide Bureau, is investigating a domestic related homicide that occurred in southwest Miami-Dade.
According to investigators, police received a 911 call from a male caller, stating something occurred at 9621 Fontainebleau Blvd. The caller did not provide an apartment number and/or exact location. Uniform officers responded and were unable to locate any incident. At approximately 6:00 a.m. the victim's roommate arrived at the apartment and found the victim unresponsive. Uniform officers, along with Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department responded and pronounced the victim deceased from an apparent gunshot wound.
A BOLO was issued for the vehicle that the subject may have been driving. At this time the vehicle has been recovered.
UPDATE1: The victim and the subject have been identified. Oscar E. Gonzalez is not in custody. MDPD Homicide Bureau needs the communities assistance in locating him.
UPDATE 2: On February 14, 2017 Oscar Eustaquio Gonzalez was apprehended, transported to the MDPD Homicide Bureau for questioning. The subject provided detectives a statement and was charged accordingly.
