Miami-Dade County Employee Arrested For Grand Theft & Organized Scheme to Defraud

Employee admitted to stealing gasoline over the past four months

(Miami-Dade County, FL) --

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Professional Compliance Bureau, Public Corruption Section, arrested Mr. Dani Toranzo, a Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces employee for Grand Theft and Organized Scheme to Defraud.

Investigators observed Mr. Toranzo dispensing gasoline from Miami-Dade County fuel pumps into plastic fuel containers then transferring the gasoline into his personal automobile. Mr. Toranzo later admitted to the theft of gasoline when questioned by investigators

Mr. Toranzo was arrested and transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
