The Miami-Dade Police Department Traffic Homicide is working a traffic accident that left one person injured. According to investigators at approximately 2:43a.m. Vehicle #2, occupied by the victim was traveling south on, NW 22 Avenue. Vehicle #1 was traveling at a high rate of speed, also traveling south on NW 22 Avenue. The front of vehicle #1 struck the rear of vehicle # 2 just north of the off ramp of state road 112. The driver of vehicle #1 fled the scene without rendering aid. The driver of vehicle #2 was treated by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition. The investigation continues.
