Hit and Run


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Traffic Homicide Unit is investigating a hit and run crash that left one pedestrian dead.

According to investigators, the described Chevrolet struck the victim as he walked on the northbound lane of NW 10 Avenue.  The vehicle did not stop and fled north.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene and transported the victim to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where the victim succumbed to his injuries.

Investigators are seeking the assistance from the community in identifying the hit and run driver and/or locating the vehicle.

The investigation continues.
