Homicide Subject Arrested by MDPD Homicide Bureau’s Northend Task Force


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

On Sunday, July 27, 2014, MDPD uniform units were dispatched to the listed location re a shooting.  Upon arrival, officers discovered deceased #1 suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in a vacant lot.  He was transported to the Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.  

Further investigation revealed that deceased #1 was standing on the sidewalk conversing with a witness, when subject #1 approached him and began shooting.  Deceased #1 ran into a vacant lot where subject #1 followed him and continued to shoot him.  When deceased #1 collapsed, subject #1 fled westbound on foot. 

On Monday, July 28, 2014, latent fingerprints obtained from a pistol magazine collected from the scene were positively identified as the subjects. 

On Friday, August 1, 2014, at 7:45 p.m., units from MDPD Homicide Bureau’s Northend Task Force located the subject at 773 N.W. 49 Street where he was taken into custody without incident.  He was charged accordingly.
