A MDPD Homicide investigation leads to a 40 year sentencing |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

On Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at approximately 9:53 p.m., the Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Northside District, responded to the above residence reference a male shot. Once officers arrived they discovered Peter French suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital Ryder Trauma Center, where he later died as a result of his injuries. After an investigation the MDPD Homicide Bureau arrested Jamie Knowles on September 17, 2014, in connection with the murder of Peter French. On August 31, 2016, after being found guilty by a jury on Second-Degree Murder, Jamie Knowles was sentenced to a forty year prison term for the murder of Peter French.
