The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating an incident that left one man dead and two injured.
Investigators say just before 7:00 p.m. officers from the Opa-locka Police Department received calls advising three people shot in an apartment complex located at 165 Kalandar Street.
Responding officers discovered a male collapsed in the hallway of the apartment who had been shot and stabbed. They followed a trail of blood to an apartment where they found a female stabbed and a second male deceased.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and treated the first two victims, and confirmed the second male found was deceased. The male and female victims were airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
A male has been detained on scene and is being questioned by detectives.
A motive is unknown at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
