Homicide


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

Miami-Dade Police Department homicide detectives are investigating a shooting that occurred in the City of Opa-locka last January 5, in which one man was killed and another critically injured.

Investigators say that at approximately 12:30 that afternoon, officers from the City of Opa-locka Police Department responded to the scene of a reported assault and found two black males suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.   One was pronounced dead at the scene by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue paramedics. The other was transported to Ryder Trauma Center where he underwent surgery. 

The shooters fled the scene in a grey new model Dodge Charger.

Surveillance video captured the image of the subjects and investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in identifying and/or locating these individuals. Video surveillance footage may be obtained from the FTP site.
