Detectives from the Miami-Dade Police Department's Homicide Bureau are seeking the assistance of the community in the investigation into the shooting death last February 7, of 38-year old Alfredo Maestre,. Mr.Maestre's body was discovered by the side of the road in the area of SW 360th Street that afternoon. He had sustained a gunshot wound in the upper torso and his recently purchased 2016 Yamaha All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) was missing. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel pronounced him dead at the scene. The investigation has so far located a witness who heard gunshots at around 2:30 that afternoon, but did not observe the incident. Additionally, the ATV has been recovered. However, a shooter has not been found and detectives are seeking the assistance of the public in identifying and or locating the assailant(s).
