(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 6:40 this evening, leaving one man dead in northwest Miami-Dade.
According to investigators a red vehicle, occupied by three males, drove to a residence located at 2237 NW 66 Street. One of the occupants exited the vehicle and approached a male outside of the residence. A physical altercation ensued between the two, when another occupant in the vehicle produced a firearm and began shooting. A neighbor who was also on the scene, retreated to his house and retrieved a firearm. The neighbor began shooting at the vehicle, striking all three occupants. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and transported two of the gunshot victims to Jackson Memorial Trauma Center in critical condition. The third occupant was determined deceased on the scene. The neighbor remained on scene and is being interviewed by homicide detectives. The preliminary investigation revealed that this incident may have stemmed from an earlier altercation between a male and female at a nearby store.
