According to investigators, a male and a female were sitting inside a black GMC Yukon, in the parking lot of an apartment complex, located at 20210 N.E. 3 Court. The female, who was sitting in the front passenger seat, observed two black males approach the vehicle wearing hoodies and armed with handguns. The driver of the vehicle accelerated, and the subjects fired at the vehicle. When the vehicle came to a stop, the female noticed that the male driver had been shot. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel responded and determined the male driver deceased on scene. The female was not injured during the incident.

The subjects fled the scene by unknown means and remain at large.

The investigation continues.

Update #1: The female passenger has been identified as Kimeisha Malcolm, who was the girlfriend of the deceased, they did not live together. The deceased has been identifed as Maxime Benjamin.
