(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau, is investigating a shooting that  claimed the life of a 16 year old male.

According to investigators, the victim was walking near his residence when shots were fired. Arriving officers discovered the shooting victim on the ground. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department responded and determined the victim deceased. The subject(s) fled and remain at large.

The investigation continues.
