On Saturday, July 28, 2018, officers responded to 20311 S.W. 216 Street, in reference to a male beaten.  Once the officers arrived, they discovered a male suffering from extensive trauma to his face.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue transported to the victim to Jackson South Medical Center.  On July 30, 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries and homicide investigators were notified.  During the course of the investigation, the subject was identified as Diego Puente, and an arrest warrant was issued.  On August 3, 2018, detectives were able to locate and arrest Diego Puente, and charge him accordingly.
