Uniform officers from the Northside District were at the intersection of N.W. 87 Street and N.W. 12 Avenue, when they observed a male running toward them suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The officers immediately began to render first aid and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the scene. They transported the victim to Jackson Memorial Hospital, Ryder Trauma Center where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as James Andrew Lawrence. Through investigative means, detectives have identified Terrance Byrd as the person responsible for the death of James Andrew Lawrence. Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community in locating Terrance Byrd. He is considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is urged to contact CrimeStoppers at 471-TIPS.
