According to investigators the victim, Yasmina Jamal, was exiting her vehicle when she was approached by the subject, Manuel Navarro.  The subject produced a firearm and opened fire, striking the Ms. Jamal. He then went to her apartment, where she lived with her two brothers, and fired into the residence.

Navarro then retreated to his own apartment where he was found suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded and pronounced him deceased on scene. Ms. Jamal was transported to Aventura Hospital & Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
