Murder and Attempted Suicide - Domestic Related


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a domestic related murder and attempted suicide that left a woman dead, another woman critically shot and a male stabbed in northwest Miami-Dade.

According to investigators, just before 10:00 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at a residence located at 2651 NW 99 Street.  Arriving units discovered two woman shot and a male stabbed.  Miami-Dade Fire Rescue were also summoned and pronounced one female deceased on scene.  Another female victim was transported to Ryder Trauma in critical condition.  A male was also transported to Ryder Trauma suffering from apparent stab wounds.

 

UPDATE #1:  According to investigators, Jairo Ramon-Mejia, Yunia Gomez and Eryka Jimenez, the daughter of Yunia Gomez live in the residence listed above.  The subject, Jairo RAmon-Mejia, and the victim, Yunia Gomez were involved in a dispute when RAmon-Mejia produced a firearm and shot both Ms. Gomez and Ms. Jimenez.  Ramon-Mejia then attempted to commit suicide with a knife causing several self-inflicting stab wounds.  Ms. Gomez was pronounced deceased on the scene.  Ms. Jimenez is now listed in stable condition, however, Ramon-Mejia's condition is unknown at this time as he is undergoing surgery.  There has been two previous domestic dispute reports in the past from the same residence.
