The Miami-Dade Police Department (MDPD), Professional Compliance Bureau, Public Corruption Section, has concluded a long-term investigation.
The investigation revealed that the three subjects falsely claimed to assist the victims in expediting their public housing application process by contacting “friends” employed by the Miami-Dade County Public Housing and Community Development to influence their applications status in exchange for a fee.
The three subjects were arrested and booked at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Investigators are seeking the assistance of the community to locate any additional victims that may have been defrauded by the three subjects.
The investigation continues.
