Miami-Dade Police Detectives are investigating an incident at the above listed location. According to detectives, the investigation began in mid-April, when detectives responded to a residence in the Kendall area to investigate a burglary. The burglary victim stated; he arrived at home and witnessed a subject (W/M) exit his residence and flee in a vehicle. The victim subsequently provided the vehicle's tag information to detectives.
A records check revealed that the tag was registered to the above listed location and identified a Mr. Daniel Lagomasino as a possible occupant of the residence. Detectives conducted a photo line-up with the victim utilizing a photo of Lagomasino, which the victim positively identified as the burglar.
On this date, detectives responded to the listed location in an attempt to locate Lagomasino. Upon arrival, a male, matching the description of Lagomasino, fled from detectives and entered the listed residence. Detectives pursued the male into the residence but lost contact with him. Evidence observed in the residence suggested that the male was possibly armed with a rifle, and that the residence contained a clandestine marijuana hydroponics laboratory. Detectives immediately secured the residence and contacted members of MDPD's Special Response Team (SRT). SRT members entered the residence and were unable to locate the male, however, discovered a fully operational clandestine marijuana hydroponics laboratory, containing approximately eighteen mature plants.
At approximately 6 p.m., Lagomasino voluntarily arrived at a MDPD district station and met with detectives. After a brief Interview, it was determined that Lagomasino previously resided at the listed residence, however, despite the burglary victim's positive identification of him, was not the subject responsible for the burglary, nor the previous pursuit.
The investigations into the identity of the fleeing male, along with the burglary remain ongoing.
