(Miami-Dade County, FL) --  

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Homicide Bureau is investigating a shooting that occurred at the above listed location.  According to investigators, Ms. Carrie Smith was shot while standing on the roadside in front of the residence.  Ms. Smith was pronounced deceased on the scene.  Investigators have identified Jeffery Leon Perpall as the individual responsible for the crime and was last seen driving the listed vehicle.  

Perpall is considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation continues.
