The Miami-Dade Police Department Homicide Bureau is currently investigating a police- involved shooting involving an officer with the Homestead Police Department. According to investigators, officers were dispatched to a silent/panic alarm at the above listed location. Upon their arrival, officers confronted the subject and shots were fired. The subject was fatally wounded on scene. Further investigation revealed that a firearm was recovered from the subject. The investigation continues.
