Traffic Homicide


(Miami-Dade County, FL) -- 

According to Miami-Dade Police Traffic Homicide detectives, the victim/pedestrian was crossing NW 7th Street (South to North) at the 8200 Block and was struck by vehicle #1 which appears to have been traveling at a high rate of speed.  Immediately after the impact, the driver failed to stop his vehicle and attempt to render aid to the injured victim and fled eastbound on NW 7th Street.  The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.  The driver was subsequently located by officers with the City of Hialeah PD and detained for investigators.
