Grand Theft and Rental Scheme |

The Miami-Dade Police Department, Mortgage Fraud Task Force and Hammocks District General Investigations Unit detectives arrested and charged Jorge Gomez with Grand Theft in the amount of $7,950.00. The investigation revealed that Jorge Gomez, a licensed realtor, on two separate occasions, deceived the victims by leading them to believe he was the listing agent for the properties that they wished to rent. He then fraudulently drafted lease agreements and collected monies for the security deposit, first and last month's rent. Detectives believe the subject may have solicited other unsuspecting victims, with the same rental scheme.
